How Injourn data is stored

Your journal entries, photos, and settings live directly on your phone and in your own private Google Drive (if cloud backup is enabled). We do not keep copies of your journal on remote servers.

Option 1: Deleting everything inside the app

To permanently delete your data and cloud backups directly from your device:

  • Wipe local data: Open Settings > Backup & Data > Wipe Local Data to erase all entries and settings on this phone.
  • Delete account & cloud backups: Open Profile > your account > Delete account. This signs you out, clears the local encrypted database, and permanently purges your encrypted backup file from your Google Drive appDataFolder.

Option 2: Deleting without the app installed

If you have uninstalled Injourn and want to make sure your Google Drive backup is deleted:

  • Go to drive.google.com on your computer or browser.
  • Click the gear icon (Settings) in the top right > Settings.
  • Click Manage Apps on the left.
  • Find Injourn, click Options, and choose Delete hidden app data.
